After our sand play Louis wanted a bath. Gabriel hung out outside while Louis painted the walls and played.

Happy 7 Months!
Gabriel is a very happy baby. He loves his big brother and big sister. Wherever they are? Is where he wants to be. Every morning Louis and Leah come downstairs and no matter how sound asleep Gabriel may appear to be he will wake up right away as soon as he hears them. On the weekends when they sleep in he is usually up looking for them. Now that he's crawling and cruising there is no keeping him away.
Over the past week or so we've noticed his interest in food has changed. He's begun to grab at it and place it in his mouth. Still not crazy about eating but I'm not worried. He's still quite young.
Mastered Skills (most kids can do)
Sits without support
Drags objects toward himself - If Gabriel wants it, he's going to get it.
Emerging Skills (half of kids can do)
Lunges forward or starts crawling - He's crawling and cruising. He has started to experiment with letting go and balancing himself.
Jabbers or combines syllables
Starts to experience stranger anxiety - If Leah or Louis leave the room he will start to cry immediately. I noticed he isn't a fan of when I'm out of sight.
Advanced Skills (a few kids can do)
Waves goodbye - not quite
Stands while holding onto something - He stands and cruises from one thing to another.
Bangs objects together - One of his favorite things to do is bang tambourines together.
Begins to understand object permanence - I play a few games with him, hiding objects under blankets and he notices they're gone and looks for them. He loves to drop things off onto the floor and realizes it's gone when he does.

Seeing Rainbows
I love my little crunchy, granola babies. Louis picked out some amber necklaces for himself and Gabriel. Leah's is being ordered this week.
Gabriel wearing a Thirsties Duo Wrap in Black bird Print & amber necklace. This is our second child to be using this cover. Third child using the prefold underneath. Cloth diapers last a long time, as long as well cared for.
Here's Gabriel sporting a cute Rumparooz Diaper Cover in Gumball print, My Little Legs in Really Rainbow print & his new amber necklace.

Something Green...
Louis asked for avocado for snack today so I cut some up and put it out for Gabriel.
He got some into his mouth and ate some but overall it made for good play rather than eating.

Perfect Lil Baby Legs
Since Leah was a baby I have absolutely loved baby legwarmers. I was given my first pair by a customer at Starbucks and at first thought "Huh?" but all it took was using them one time to realize what a perfect everyday accessory they are-especially when cloth diapering or with potty learning and ECing (elimination communication-diaper free). None of our kids have ever been big on wearing clothing while at home and I've never cared either way as long as they are warm/cool enough. Now that Gabriel has started to crawl though his knees need the extra protection from rubbing against our carpeting all day. Louis has gone back to wanting to use the potty so the legwarmers make that easier as well, the lack of pants to pull down is great. Leah's warmers have been used by both the boys AND she still uses her own for dance or as arm warmers. Love the versatility.

Standing Tall
Not long after Gabriel showed us his new crawling skill? He started to STAND! We cannot keep this boy still. Off he goes.
As soon as he figured out he could stand and hold onto things? He immediately attempted to cruise over to something else. He does not yet have the coordination to do it but that doesn't stop him from trying. He is also trying to let go and stand on his own.
